ParSem Not Hour Average Haunted House

ParSem is a labyrinth of room’s hallways stairs of haunting fun. From the ghoul at the front door to the strobing claustrophobic basement haunts, it’s a long and entertaining house of a thousand haunts. The wonderful old building sits on an eerie campus of spooky trees and hints of the creatively horrific displays within. Murderous surgeries, psycho doll ladies, ghouls, witches, crazy clowns. The veil between what’s reality and fantasy is thin as is your hold on sanity. If your resolve is steely, enjoy the creative displays and guide the weak willed with glee! Best haunt in New England!

Spooky Seminary

What an amazing time at the Parsonsfield Seminary haunted house! Fantastic decorating, and excellent haunters! We will go every year, took about a half hour to get through and there was so much to see and frights at every turn!

Keeps you on edge!

Sooo many rooms and you are always on edge! As you wait to go in, there are scary people that keep you on edge from the beginning! I would have loved to go a little slower to look more in depth at each room as they were all awesome! Especially the butcher and the baker!!!!

Always lots of fun!

They are so creative and always do such a great job! I've been going since 2009. They have some very talented people. I highly recommend it. FUN!

Amazing event and haunt!

Amazing fun and spooky event. Spooky not scary, good for early teens and the adults that appreciate a story in each room! It is obvious the volunteers spend and incredible amount of time in decking out their room, incredible creativity and attention to detail, definitely not something to run through for the next haunt. Take a moment and appreciate the craftsmanship of the props, alot of them are hand created! Also for a great cause. Should be on everyone's list to see! Yeah it won't make you crap your pants... for the most part, but you definitely will have some great memorable scare moments!

Creepy and very well done!

The haunted house was really incredible! Very detailed and spooky decorations in each room, and the people working did a great job creating narratives and scaring us. Some really good jump scares!

This is a walk thru in an old seminary building. They have 3 floors and a basement filled with creatures, zombies and spooks ready to make you scream. The rooms are amazingly decorated and the characters very convincing. Put on your list to visit.

Epically awesome

Been going to this event for years. I have never been once disappointed. The volunteers stay in character and are interactive with us. Never know what you will encounter from room to room. I keep coming back for more and keep bringing new comers as well.

Email Verified Fantastic Family Haunt

I've been going to the Haunting at ParSem for years, and it's always fantastic. The volunteers do an amazing job transforming a beautiful historic building into a twisting maze of scary fun. Come back during the year for one of the other great events and see it in its glory, a truly beautiful place. The decor, backdrops, effects, and costumes are top notch - the best (scariest) part is not being able to tell which figures are mannequins and which are actual humans...you'll know when they jump at you! Every year is a different theme and it's always over the top. When you stand in line to go in, you'll see young children as well as older folks - this haunt appeals to everyone!

My go to every year!

This is the one haunted house I never miss during Halloween. You can tell they put in a lot of time and effort here. Highly recommend!

I loved all of the actors costumes and they seemed like they had a lot of fun doing it. The house itself is beautiful and it was definitely a bit creepy on its own and the actors and jump scares made it pretty scary at times!

Amazing, cannot recommend enough

The sets and decorations were stellar, the cast and costumes and makeup, everything was just On Point. Exactly the experience we were hoping for! Highly impressed with the quality. Love that that have a scar free option for littles so the decor etc can still be appreciated

We’ve been making a yearly drive to Parsonsfield since 2015. It’s our favorite Maine haunt!The staff are always kind and interactive with the guests, the actors inside always give many scares!We love the decor, and especially how there are changes every year to make it fresh and new. Can’t say enough about how good the actors are especially the creepy children and the girls that scream!!

So spooky!

We attend the Haunting at ParSem every year. We love it. The decorations this year are by far the best they’ve ever done. Truly amazing! We loved the tunnel towards the end. My only complaint and the only reason for not giving 5 stars is they should have given more time in between groups. We were a group of 6 friends, who the end, turned into a group of probably 20 or so. People in front and behind us moving through the haunted house like a train. That made it let scary because you knew what was coming.

Fantastic!

Very well done! Lots of twists and turns thru truly horrifying sights with plenty of creepy actors jumping out at you. The girl sitting on her bed singing and playing with a beheaded doll was great, the basement terrifying. I screamed several times and loved every minute of it!

This was our first time coming to Par Sem. and the first haunted house!It was very scary and satisfied our curiosity!We will definitely come to the next one.There was a fortune teller! The refreshments were great and all of the volunteers in the house were awesome. It was decorated perfectly! We are just amazed!

Frightful!

This haunted house never disappoints. It's my 3rd year going and I plan to continue every year. The actors and great, room set up and travel path through is on point. The basement is my favorite! Inexpensive hot cocoa and snacks in the shack. A bathroom on site. Thank you for putting this on every year!

A great night out!

We’ve never missed a year! These folks do a great job, it’s different every year so that’s part of the suspense. It’s a great spot for a date night, or spooky night out with friends all to benefit a little piece of history. Truly a little gem in our part of the world.

A MUST SEE!!

A gorgeous REAL HAUNTED SEMINARY!! So much work and effort put into this and they scared me SO MANY TIMES!! All proceeds go to upkeep the seminary and keep it open. This was my favorite haunted walk i. The past 5 years.

Four flights of frights!!

An amazing haunted house with so much to see! Scares for all levels and decorated from the bottom to the top! Also concessions and easy parking. Third year going and it’s always awesome!!
